 การศึกษาพฤติกรรมและรูปแบบการออมของพนักงานสถาบันการเงินและข้าราชการในจังหวัดอุดรธานีครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมและรูปแบบการออมและปัจจัยที่เป็นตัวกำหนดพฤติกรรมการออมของพนักงานสถาบันการเงินและข้าราชการในจังหวัดอุดรธานี ผลการวิจัย พบว่า กลุ่มพนักงานสถาบันการเงินและกลุ่มข้าราชการ เลือกที่จะออมเงินมากกว่าลงทุนทางการเงินซึ่งการออมเงินจะออมในรูปแบบฝากออมทรัพย์ และฝากแบบสหกรณ์ออมทรัพย์ ส่วนกลุ่มพนักงานสถาบันการเงินจะมีการลงทุนทางการเงินมากกว่ากลุ่มข้าราชการ ส่วนปัจจัยที่เป็นตัวกำหนดพฤติกรรมการการออมและรูปแบบการออมของสองกลุ่ม พบว่า ทั้งสองกลุ่มจะมีพฤติกรรมการเลือกออมเงินไม่แตกต่างกัน แต่ในด้านการเลือกลงทุนทางการเงินจะมีพฤติกรรมที่แตกต่างกัน และปัจจัยที่ที่เป็นตัวกำหนดการออมและการลงทุน ทั้งสองกลุ่มให้ความสำคัญในระดับใกล้เคียงกัน ซึ่งให้ความสำคัญมากที่สุดกับปัจจัยความมั่นคงของสถาบันการเงิน และกลุ่มข้าราชการจะให้ความสำคัญมากที่สุดเพิ่มเข้ามากับปัจจัยผลตอบแทนจากการลงทุน

  A study Behavior and form of savings of employees of financial institutions and government officers in Udon tani province were to compare behavior and form of savings and factors of saving determine behavior and saving patterns of employees of financial officers and government officers in Udon tani province. The study found that employees of financial officers and government officers choose to save rather than a financial investment which will save money in savings and to leave a credit union. The employees of financial officers have a financial investment rather than the government officers. The factors that determine the behavior of savings and the savings of the two groups showed that both groups have a habit of saving money were no different. But in terms of a financial investment that will behave differently. And the factors that determine savings and investment both groups focus on a similar level. The most important factors for the stability of financial officers and the government were the most important addition to the return on investment.
