 The research purposes of philosophy (Phaya) in Isarn society and culture are to study philosophical characteristics and contents in Isarn society and culture. The results from the research reveal that philosophies cover every aspect of the Isann society In the case of Metaphysics, Isarn people are idealism and believe in spirits and ghosts living in the nature. They also believe that all people are born from Phaya Thaen and Phaya Thaen is their greatest God. For epistemology, they divide the wisdoms into three levels: sensation, reason and meditation the gained knowledge by practices. They believe that wisdom people can get happiness by themselves. In ethics, Isarn people believe that there are goodness and badness and they have certain criteria of judgment. The good people are those who follow morality.. For aesthetics, Isarn people believe that beauty is divided into two levels: sensation and beyond sensation still in Isarn society, moreover, there are some other applied philosophies.
