Abstract :

The article described the relations between the Thai beliefs and the teachings appeared in the manuscripts of the Lord Buddha Entered the Nirvana Chanting Poem by studying the 144 pages of the 350th manuscripts of the Lord Buddha Entered the Nirvana Chanting Poem as stated in the the Second book of the Ancient Record on Chanting Poem Literature of the Ancient Languages Segment, National Library, Department of Fine Arts 1998. The Manuscript is deemed containing sufficient information enough to be interpreted for educational purposes. During the course of study, it is become apparent that there are 6 relations linking the Thai beliefs and the teachings appeared in the manuscripts as the following. Firstly, the Lord Buddha Entered the Nirvana Chanting Poem is a set of guidelines for social livelihood. Secondly, the Lord Buddha Entered the Nirvana Chanting Poem helps people to discipline. Thirdly, the Lord Buddha Entered the Nirvana Chanting Poem is a catalyst that attracts people and encourages them to follow its teachings. Next, the Lord Buddha Entered the Nirvana Chanting Poem is considered a set of decisive criteria in determining human behaviors. The fifth point being that the Lord Buddha Entered the Nirvana Chanting Poem enhances the relationship between people and supernatural conditions. The final apparent relation is that the Lord Buddha Entered the Nirvana Chanting Poem helps people to control their conscience.
